Through inclusive partnerships for development, the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) helps ensure better lives for people in the developing world by tracking development finance, making sure it is invested effectively and promoting good policy.

Understanding development finance

We monitor and publish data from more than 40 OECD and non-OECD countries on official development assistance (ODA) and other development finance to developing countries. This helps identify whether money is being allocated according to need.

Strengthening aid delivery

More than 50 bilateral and multilateral agencies deliver official development assistance (ODA) to over 150 countries worldwide. But how can development agencies deliver aid more efficiently and effectively? We evaluate their performance and share global good practice to help them sharpen their processes and management.

Improving development policy

Rooted in independent evidence, and knowledge and experience from across the world, we advise on methods and good practice for addressing policy issues such as women's empowerment, conflict and climate change.

Building partnerships for development

To help alleviate poverty and achieve the Millennium Development Goals, we engage with other donors and new partners to help leverage the collective know-how and means that facilitate innovative and integrated approaches to development challenges.
